On November 4, 2017, attorneys and staff from Keller, Keller & Caracuzzo, P.A. attended a community event held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church & School to pack food and toiletries for Haiti.  This year marks the second year that Keller, Keller & Caracuzzo, P.A. was a sponsor of the Packing Food for Haiti Event held at St. Mark’s.   In attendance from KKC were Managing Partner, Scott Keller, his wife Janna and their two daughters; Associate Attorney, Ellis Petit and his son; as well as Guirlande Jean, the firm’s file clerk, with her sister and a close friend.

The annual event, which is in its sixth year is primarily focused on providing pre-packaged meals as well as clothing and shoes to the youth attending school in and around Miragoane, Haiti.  This year, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church had a goal of packaging and donating 100,000 meals for Haiti.  However, the need arose to also send aid to Puerto Rico in light of their dire situation following Hurricane Maria.  The goal was then raised to 125,000 meals, of which 25,000 will be sent to Puerto Rico to help with their recovery efforts.

We at Keller, Keller & Caracuzzo, P.A. are honored to help those in our community with their legal needs.  However, when the need presents itself to volunteer for a noble undertaking such as packing food for Haiti, we are more than happy to contribute our time and money to those that are less fortunate or who have been affected by natural disaster.
